These are two stories which take place and mirror one another, the first starring a man, and the second a woman. Pablo and Natalia are both university lecturers; both are married and have children; both are in crisis. The situations that occur in each of the two stories, even though similar or even identical, involve them in a different way, given the mandates on which many of our everyday roles are based. We therefore see the different ways that the social context responds in the case of a man and a woman. It is also a film about love, the family, desire and freedom.
Celina Murga's debut film "Ana and the others" (2003) participated in more than 25 international festivals and won numerous awards, as did her second feature film "A Week Alone" (2006). In 2008 she was selected by Martin Scorsese as a disciple, as part of the Rolex Arts Initiative. In 2012 she premiered the documentary "Normal School" at the Berlinale Forum. Scorsese was the executive producer of her last film "The Third Side of the River" (2014), selected at Berlinale Official Competition.
